Staying with us

At Brisbane Private Hospital we understand that our patients need as much information as possible about your stay with us.

Admission Call Centre

A new process implemented at Brisbane Private Hospital has vastly improved and streamlined the admission for patients. Our 1300 call centre allows quick and easy patient registration. Gone are the multiple, confusing forms to complete and post back to your doctor and the hospital. Registration now requires a simple phone call to our friendly call centre staff.

Nursing Preadmission

Brisbane Private Preadmission service aims to provide nursing contact with most patients before they are admitted to the hospital. This service allows the hospital to gather important information about each of our patient’s individual needs, based on their medical history, and allows the hospital adequate time to prepare for each patient’s admission.

It also provides patients with the opportunity to ask questions about their hospitalisation and prepare for their discharge home. Feedback received from patients about this service has been overwhelmingly positive.

The Surgical Admission Lounge

Our Surgical Admission Lounge provides comfortable pre-operative accommodation for patients, in a central location, close to the operating theatres. This specialised pre-operative preparation area, has been created for patients who are otherwise well. It provides ready access for the pre-operative anaesthetist consultation and prompt transport to the operating rooms. Patients admitted through the Surgical Admission Lounge will wake up in their bed following their procedure, and be transported to their room.

Accreditation

The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards is responsible for assessing the care and services provided by Brisbane Private Hospital. This ensures our care and services remain patient and customer focused and we comply with strict safety guidelines.

The ACHS inspects the hospital on a regular basis to monitor our compliance and our continued focus on improving our care and service standards, in response to feedback we receive from our customers.
